In the storms at the end of 2024 going into 2025 we had loads of frost and winds, and in one of those storms, the tree which was a healthy ornamental almond tree on our Church Close green, unexpectedly blew over and landed in the hedge and garden of number 19! The new owner later relayed his shock to me…

As the Winter Olympics navigate steep slopes and moguls, the children at Poppets are growing like weeds. Babies are becoming crawlers and walkers. Toddlers are talking and trying crafts and colouring.

The 29th Annual Easingwold Open Triples Short Mat Bowling Competition took place on Saturday 7th February playing for the Jack Freeman Trophy and prize money of £90, £60 and £30 for the first three places.
