Remembrance day – Tholthorpe
Saturday 20th November, 2021
As in previous years 1st Kyle Valley Scout Group chose to commemorate Remembrance day in the heart of our community, just down the road from our Scout hut, at Tholthorpe War Memorial.
The memorial commemorates, amongst others, the many RAF personnel who lost their lives flying night bombing raids from Tholthorpe Airfield.
The service was attended by the son of one such airman.
The Scouts understand the gravity of these ceremonies and I was extremely proud of the way they conducted themselves………
