VX is BACK!

The Galtres Centre saw a major VX tournament at the weekend as ten teams converged on Easingwold to celebrate being able to play and compete in VX again.

Our local VX Club, Easi-RockIts, had a number of players entering, including the youngest player in the competition, George Scott aged 11, and Head Coach Paul Hildreth 62.

This tournament was billed as a ‘Back to VX’ tournament and was designed to be an open, informal, fun tournament that anyone could win. Points were not awarded for wins and draws but a team’s number of strikes throughout the course of the competition. With some players being seeded teams were made up of anywhere between 2 and 5 players. On top of this the age range was wide open – the age gap between youngest and oldest was 51 years. With ‘challenge badges’ available to compete for and every team playing every other team, the scene was set for anyone to win…….
