Will Richardsons Charity Walk

In early December, Will Richardson of Easingwold, collapsed with a coronary episode. He was rushed to York Hospital for tests.

He was then transferred to Castle Hill for major open heart surgery. They replaced his aortic valve, reinforced his aorta and did a myomectomy.

(That’s removing part of the heart wall to increase the capacity of the heart.) The Surgeon suggested that he do gentle exercise as part of his recovery.

Perhaps walking? So at the beginning of March he decided to do a sponsored walk. He would walk the equivalent of the Coast to Coast Walk, a distance of 192 miles….
